Slow Food Week…to the rescue of traditional flavours

Weather might not accompany – well, it definitely doesn´t – but, summer is around the corner! Decided to celebrate it and to give everyone a good excuse to take the streets, the organisers at the ‘Slow Food UK Week 2012‘ have put together a quite eclectic proposal for those hidden foodies of yours…

Slideshow Image“Slow Food UK Week celebrates the many wonders of good British food. This year we will focus on our newest initiative, the Chef Alliance in partnership with Highland Park, in which leading British chefs share their enthusiasm for local, sustainable ingredients. Our Chefs will champion Forgotten Foods with special Slow Food UK menus, share their insights in vibrant talks, and open their doors for the first ever Slow Food Crawl.”

Overcome? Nothing to worry about but when time comes to decide whether to taste whiskey or go for a Stilton& walnuts ice cream.

Although the celebrations will take place all around the country 18th-24th June, El Bombin offers you a very personal selection of what will be going on in London (despite recognizing that many of the Edinburgh’s events caught my eye).
