‘Felis sinco de maio’ cheered a kind radio broadcaster this morning. Up to here everything correct less a slight detail. He was congratulating all Spaniards -using the term ‘espanoles’ not the broader one ‘latinos’ or ‘hispanos’ which have to be translated as Spanish in terms of this language speakers -.
- Firstly, I would like to thank this nice guy to remember the Mexican national day amid the electoral pre-math.
- Secondly, I’d love to join his greeting and congratulations to all my Mexican friends and to the entire country in extension…Wish you the nicest of journeys, Jorge and company!!!
- Thirdly, dear English speakers fellows…can you please notice the difference between being Spanish and Latin? I know it can appear to be a little picky but I am aware of those also disliking to be called English intead of Welsh or Scottish, even Irish…same for the French speakers in Canada or the English ones in America…
- Summarizing…happy 5th of may!!
